BRUNSWICK — The Family Tree Program, which airs during the month of November on local community cable television stations, will cover what we need to know about being a safe driver as we age.
Joe Hahn, volunteer driver instructor for the AARP; Terry Goan, patrol officer for the Brunswick Police Department; and Thea Fickett, medical review coordinator for Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles, will talk about the various risks especially associated with the aging driver.
The former Safe Driver program, now called Smart Driver, is a four-hour program resulting in Maine residents being able to apply for an insurance discount.
The Family Tree, now in its 23rd year, is a monthly broadcast created by Mid Coast Hospital and sponsored by Thornton Oaks retirement community.
