BRUNSWICK — Noah Austin scored four goals, including three in the final period as the Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse/Hyde boys high school hockey team battled back for a 6-4 win over Cony/Monmouth/Hall-Dale Monday night at Sidney J. Watson Arena.
The senior forward, who leads all of Class A boys hockey players in scoring with 17 points, has now had back-to-back four-goal games against the Rams, with the previous coming last season as a junior.
The Eagles (3-0-1) also received three assists from Hunter Merryman, and a goal and an assist from Ian Struck. Ian Cooke scored a power-play goal on an assist from Noah Magda, while Tristen Cloutier chipped in with an assist as well.
Goaltender Cade Charron was solid late for the hosts, finishing with 31 saves.
The Rams (0-3) received goals from Joe Arps, Michael Boivin, Colin Osborne and Zach Whitney. Jacob Godbout added two assists, with Nick Levesque chipping in a helper as well. Netminder Matty Shea made 18 saves in the losing effort.
Austin’s last two goals were shorthanded, while the Eagles went 1-for-2 on the power play. Cony/Monmouth/Hall-Dale was 1-for-8 on the man advantage.
Next up for the Eagles is on Wednesday when Gardiner travels to Watson Arena for a 6:30 p.m. game.
Girls hockey
YARMOUTH — Lily Weinrich scored four goals as Yarmouth/Freeport skated past Mt. Ararat/Morse, 7-1, at Travis Roy Ice Arena.
Yarmouth/Freeport (5-1) held a 2-1 lead after the opening period, but the Eagles (1-6) were unable to find the back of the net again.
Hannah Swift, Lydia Guay and Kyaira Grondon also scored for Yarmouth/Freeport, which took a 4-1 lead into the third period.
Lexi Saxton scored the first-period goal off an Emma Hawkes and Maddie Young assists for the Eagles, who host York/Traip/Marshwood on Wednesday at Watson Arena (4:45 p.m.).
The Clippers visit Winslow/Gardiner on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
Boys basketball
SOUTH BERWICK — Seacoast Christian outscored Pine Tree Academy, 13-4, in the second quarter and held off the Breakers for the Class D South 47-40 victory.
Pine Tree’s Chris Amisi scored a game-high 21 points, while Noraj Jean-Louis added 12 for the Breakers (1-2).
Charles Tieszen paced the Guardians (2-2) with 16 points and Brandon Vachon chipped in with 12 points and five steals.
The Breakers will next play at Rangeley on Jan. 2.
Wiscasset 38
Mtn Valley 96
Keegan Davis scored a game-high 21 points and host Mountain Valley had four other scorers in double figures to run away from Wiscasset in Mountain Valley Conference action at Rumford.
Taylor Pelletier (17 points) and Jacob Blanchard (14) both made seven shots to trail Davis by one in the field-goal department. Casey Cormier and Dylan Desroches added 10 points apiece for the Falcons (4-0).
Billy Pinkham led the Wolverines (1-3) with 11 points, while Matthew Chapman had 10.
Wiscasset hosts Oak Hill on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
Girls basketball
SALEM — Mt. Abram erased a 10-point deficit at the half to pull away from Lisbon for the Roadrunners first victory of the season, 46-42, in the MVC clash.
Mt. Abram held a two-point lead (9-7) after one quarter, but Lisbon outscored the hosts, 14-2 to take a 21-11 lead into the break.
The Roadrunners completed the comeback in the second half with 15-8 and 20-13 quarters to seal the victory.
Carly Drischler led the Greyhounds (0-3) with 11 points, while Charlee Cox pitched in with 10. Summer Ross had a game-high 17 points, while Madison Phelps and Ashlyn Sorei added 11 points apiece for the Roadrunners (1-3).
Lisbon returns to action Wednesday, hosting Monmouth (7 p.m.), and then travels to Dirigo on Friday (6:30 p.m.).

The host Wolverines fell to 0-4 in MVC action.
Alice Yakabaskas and Sydnie Thayer had a basket each for Wiscasset, which visits Oak Hill on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Saydie Gabarini led the Falcons with 16 points, while Rylee Sevigny chipped in 13, and Keirstyn Lyons and Avery Sevigny added 10 apiece.
