This little charmer is a 1.5 pound tiger who truly rules her kingdom with a velvet paw. Tiny Q.T. was born in a foster home to an outside mom who was rescued by a family that has been feeding and caring for the group that were dropped off near their home. Several of Torrie’s family and friends have been TNR (trapped, neutered, returned) back to where the family can continue to feed and care for them.

Q.T. and her three litter mates will remain with ACAR until they are old enough to also be spayed and neutered ( middle to end of Jan. 2016). These kittens are the lucky ones, each will be placed up for adoption. Torrie’s Mom will also be spayed in a few weeks, and she will stay with us until she can find a forever home with a family that will experience forever gratitude from a rescued pet.

Our normal policy would be to spayed and return to the home territory. This case involving this mother cat proved the exception to the rule. Mom cat is not feral nor shy despite the fact she has never been in an enclosed setting. Mom kitty would like our reading audience to keep her in mind as the year closes out. If you are considering adding a new furry family member to your circle in the coming weeks or months, both Q.T. and Mom cat would like to be considered as possible new family members.

In addition to our featured pet of the week, Queen Torrie and our honorably mention Mom, ACAR still has a very limited selection of very young kittens, a good group of teenage kittens and small number of adult cats all looking to you for their new loving family.

We also have a nice selection of young dogs available, each hoping to be in their new homes for Christmas.

We are in serious need of good dry dog food and wet cat food. If you can spare a bag or can for our foster dogs and cats, please drop off at Another Chance Thrift Shop on Market St. or call 676-5599 for someone to pick it up. Check out our adoptable pets at www.petfinder.com in the 03906 zip code.
