STANDISH — Both the Thornton Academy boys and girls swimming teams topped host Bonny Eagle at St. Joseph’s College on Wednesday.
The boys pulled off the 76-50 win while the girls won 87-55.
Eli Steward picked up a win in the 200 yard freestyle as well as the 500 free. Joshua Roberts later won the 200 yard medley as well as the 100 yard backstroke. Joe Vail would later go on to win the 50 yard freestyle along with the 100 yard backstroke. Teammate Carl Pellerin took first in the 100 yard freestyle.
Mary Steward won the 200 free, beating the next closest swimmer by more than 20 seconds. Grace Rocheleau then won the 200 medley, while teammate Mollie Eaton won the 100 yard butterfly. Nicole Cyr took first in both the 50 free and the 100 free.
