Random Fandom: Allegiant Friday, March 4 at 2 p.m. Are you excited for the latest Divergent movie, Allegiant? Then join us for an afternoon of crafting, snacking, gaming, and talking all about the book and movie! Each month we celebrate a new popular theme geared toward kids in grades 5-8 and this month it is all about the Divergent series. Parent and Baby Yoga Monday, March 7 at 10:30 a.m. Come and join other parents of young ones, ages 0-24 months, for a yoga session developed by instructor Cindy Simon. The class is the first Monday of the month, and is wellsuited for beginners and masters alike. Baby yoga promotes better sleep and helps stimulate both the digestive and the nervous systems. Teen Tech Week: 3D Printing Tuesday, March 8 at 2:15 p.m. Want to 3D print your very own keychain? Now’s your chance. To kick off our Teen Tech Week, we invited Traci Gere from Make It KPT to demonstrate her 3D printer and teach teens how to design a digital prototype online. Since the 3D printer takes a while to print, the keychains will be printed after hours and available to pick up within a week after the program. Teen Tech Week: Arduinos Wednesday, March 9 at 2 p.m.

Did you know that the Wells Public Library has devices to create electronic crickets and pocket stage lights? They are called Arduinos and have the potential to become a variety of objects. Adult Programs Conversational French Language Group Thursday, March 3 at 6:30 p.m.

Join us for an informal approach to practicing or relearning French! This group will meet weekly on Thursdays to speak French. We will offer some activities, questions, and other approaches to practicing the language, but mostly it will be up to the group to determine what the format will be. Cooking with Jolene & Nutrition with York Hospital Dietitian Kaytlin Kimball Monday, March 7 at 1 p.m.

Join us on the first Monday of each month as Jolene Staruch talks about what’s for dinner”. You’ll get a menu and recipes for the month, there will be cooking demonstrations using locally sourced ingredients, as well as tips to make the cooking (and eating!) fun. York Hospital dietitian Kaytlin Kimball will also be on hand to provide helpful nutritional advice and answer questions. Learning to Live with Vision Loss or Changes in Vision Wednesday, March 9 at 11 a.m. During this Low Vision education program, Barbra Domijan will inform us in a very interactive, hands-on way how we can make simple changes in our daily lives to keep ourselves or loved ones independent, even in the face of decreased vision or depth perception. Local assisted living communities have adopted this program and reported back some wonderful results in regard to their residents’ quality of life. Memoir Writing with Melissa Walshe Friday, March 11 at 10:30 a.m. Your story, whether big or small, is waiting to be heard. During this 90- minute workshop, we’ll discuss how to turn that story into a narrative by running through some exercises to get you started. You will leave class with words on the page, a plan to move forward in writing your memoir, and a reading list for inspiration. Melissa Walshe published her first book, ‘Autumn’s Daughter’, in 2014 and will soon be releasing the sequel, ‘Autumn’s Sister’. Constituency Services with Staff Members from Sen. Angus King’s Office Wednesday, March 16 from 10 a.m.-noon. A representative from Sen. Angus King’s office will be available to discuss specific problems, legislative issues, or any concerns regarding federal government agencies. Constituent outreach hours are part of King’s “Your Government, Your Neighborhood” initiative and offer a chance to get his staff out of the office and into the community in order to provide alternative outreach services. Gardening with Jolene: Creating Pollinator (Butterfly and Bee) Gardens Friday, March 18 at 10:30 a.m. Master gardener Jolene Staruch will share information about how to attract butterflies and bees to your garden. With the decrease in pollinators in our country, these insects are critical to helping plants survive.
