He was born Aug. 1, 1992, in Lebanon, New Hampshire, the son of Jerome and Mary Beth (Harriman) Richard. He attended Grantham Village School and Lebanon Junior High School, and graduated from Lebanon High School in 2010.
In summer 2013, Evan’s desire for a more active art and music scene led him to Seattle, where he lived for a year. He returned to the East Coast and settled in Portland, where his passion for art was able to bloom.
With the support of his new friends and his family nearby, he was able to start on his greatest endeavor as an artist at FoulMouth with his art/music project. We are so thankful that he will live on through his art and music.
Evan had a great love of nature, which included hiking in the mountains, tubing on Maine rivers and spending time at the ocean with his family and friends.
He is survived by: his parents, Jerome and Mary Richard; his sister, Emma Grace; and his brother, Calvin James. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Harriman of Saco; paternal grandparents Joe and Marjorie Richard of Mexico; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday, April 8, with a celebration of life at 11 a.m. at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco. To view Evan’s memorial page or leave an online condolence, please visit cotefuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, memorial contributions in Evan’s name can be made to: SPACE Gallery, 538 Congress St., Portland, ME 04101.
