Do you believe in miracles?

I do… thanks to the first responders from Old Orchard police and fire departments that were instrumental in saving my husband’s life on Feb. 25, 2016, after going into cardiac arrest at our home.

I want to personally thank and publicly acknowledge the following individuals for their quick response, medical expertise and professionalism: Police officers Scott Jarrett and Peter Guay, along with paramedics/EMTs Thomas Gallant, Trevor Nason, Normand Gendron, Donald Pelletier, Shawn Smith and Caleb Parent.

Police Chief Dana Kelley and Fire Chief Rick Plummer should be proud of the skill and competence their men portrayed on that unforgettable evening.

There was never a doubt on what they needed to do to help administer to my husband to see that he was able to receive the best possible care imaginable.

I would also like to thank Southern Maine Medical Center, Maine Medical Center/CICU and New England Rehabilitation Hospitals for the outstanding care my husband received. All three hospitals showed the utmost care for him.

And last but not least, administrator for the fire chief, Terry Nagle, for her genuine concern and follow-up with our family.
