BIDDEFORD — The Biddeford girls lacrosse team kicked off its 2018 season with a 17-6 win over Noble at Waterhouse Field on Thursday.

Peyton McKeown led Biddeford with three goals and three assists while Abby Allen and Paige Laverriere each added three goals and one assist. Megan Mourmouras and Hailey Allen each scored twice for Biddeford. Grace Boisvert, Eliza Gilliam, Azure Illiano and Brooke Reissfelder all added one goal apiece.

Biddeford goalies Ella McKenzie and Eliza Gillian combined for seven saves.

“We only had two-and-a-half weeks to prepare for this game and we actually have only been out on a field with lines two other times before this game, so I was thinking it could go either way,” said Biddeford coach Caitlin Albert. “I’m happy with the result … and it’s good to have (a game) this early because we see what we need to work on.”

Biddeford will visit Falmouth next Saturday.
