SACO — The Thornton Academy softball team cruised to a big 26-1 win over visiting Bonny Eagle on Tuesday afternoon.
Ten different Trojans got hits in the win, with six having multi-hit performances. Louisa Colucci led TA at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two home runs. Olivia Howe and Hannah Collins each went 5-for-5 and combined for 10 RBIs.
Colucci got the win in the circle for TA, recording six strikeouts and allowing no earned runs in five innings.
Baseball
Greely 7, Wells 3
The Rangers improved to 2-0 on the year with a win over Wells on Tuesday.
Cam Cousins and Tyler Bridge each had multi-hit games for the Warriors.
Marshwood 18, Massabesic 8
Despite leading 9-2 after two innings, the Mustangs were unable to hold off the Hawks who completed the comeback win.
Tyler Lambert had two RBIs for Massabesic in the loss.
South Portland 8, Kennebunk 1
The Red Riots cruised to a win over Kennebunk on Tuesday. Benson Furber would knock Nicholas Teguis home for the Rams’ lone run.
