LYMAN — Margaret Caya, 70, of Lyman, died Sunday, June 5, 2016, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House with her husband and family at her side. A lifelong smoker, she succumbed to a 13-month battle with lung cancer.

She was born April 15, 1946, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, a daughter of James and Jean (Brown) Moran. She was educated in Kittery, and completed high school in Waterboro.

On June 29, 1969, she married Richard Caya at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford. For the past 12 years, she worked at the Goodwill store in Biddeford, where she was assistant manager.

Margaret was an avid reader.

She is survived by: Richard, her husband of 46 years; two brothers, Daniel Moran and his wife Linda of West Fork, Arkansas, and Dean Moran and his wife Valerie of Walla Walla, Washington; two sisters:, Donna Brogan and her husband George of Sanford, and Dianne Bedard of Sanford; a stepbrother, Richard Moran of Alfred; a stepsister, Joan Caswell of Middlebury, Vermont; and several nieces and nephews.
