ACAR rescue is in need of good, dry dog food and wet cat food. Food donations may be dropped off at Another Chance Thrift Shop on 37 Market St., North Berwick, or call 676-5599 for pick up.
Adoption hours are every Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the adoption center/foster home of Marilyn Harley, 251 Route 4, Sanford.
The rescue thrift store at 37 Market St., North Berwick, is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All thrift store profits benefit the animals. Donations of items to the thrift store are welcome.
To assist the rescue’s mission of providing a safe environment and quality care for abandoned, abused and lost pets, people can become a Support for Life member by pledging $10 a month. The monthly donations help the rescue meet ongoing expenses and continue its work as a true “No Kill” organization.
