Area residents and the Town of Wells are currently working together to create a local dog park that would accommodate both large and small dogs. Our mission is to establish a clean and safe environment, where our well-behaved canines can exercise and socialize off leash in a fenced-in, well maintained, beautifully developed park. The park would be open to all dog lovers who are willing to uphold the park rules and restrictions. The design would create a protected space that would be a great alternative to walking our dogs on the beach where we have endangered bird life and would benefit both dog owners and non-dog owners alike.
Moving forward, we welcome any and all help or assistance. We are currently researching land options, preferably with a water source, fencing, ground cover, such as wood chips, benches, and a disposal station.
Any and all discounts or donations will be greatly appreciated. We welcome all your ideas and questions. Thank you. The Coalition for Free Range Canines Sandy MacDougall smacdougall440@gmail.com Mary Martin Plummer celtickitties13@gmail.com
