BIDDEFORD — Raymond R. Boucher, 93, of Biddeford, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving wife and children.

He was born Aug. 20, 1923, in Biddeford, a son of Jerome and Alma (Lessard) Boucher, and was educated locally.

On May 24, 1948, he married his first love, to whom he was married for 53 years, Charlotte E. “Teenie” Grenier at St. Joseph Church. They had seven children together. She died on March 2, 2002. He was fortunate enough to marry his second love, Doris M. Desrochers Gagnon, on June 14, 2003, also at St. Joseph Church.

Raymond was a devoted father and husband, always doing whatever it took to support his family. He loved family gatherings with good food, energetic games and funny stories. He was a healthy and strong man who commonly played touch football with his family well into his 70s.

He could fix just about anything, from lowering the family two-story barn to dropping a boiler into the basement right through the living room floor, landing it exactly where it still stands today.

Raymond worked as an electrician at Saco/Lowell and Maremont Corp., and later at Pratt Whitney. He also owned and operated his own electrical business on the side.

As a young man, he played semi-professional hockey, and in later years, he assisted in coaching his youngest son’s youth hockey team. He enjoyed golfing, communicating worldwide as a HAMM radio operator, playing annual cribbage matches with his first wife, Teenie, and traveling some, especially on tours to Quebec with his second wife, Doris.

Boucher of Biddeford; three sons, Michael Boucher and wife Cathy, Tobie Boucher, and Jeffrey Boucher and wife Doris, all of Biddeford; three daughters, Dianne Boucher and husband Roland Miller of Brunswick, Lucie Boucher and husband Bernie Huebner of Waterville, and Lise Roseberry and husband Greg of Fairfield; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
