Twenty years ago before I retired, many of my co-workers asked me why I was a Republican. I told them I was “Pro-life” and “Pro-family.”
Like many others I also believed the Supreme Court justices would overturn “Roe V. Wade” approved in 1972 by the court.
Nine justices were on the court and five were Catholics. Nothing happened and in 2016 we still have the “Roe V. Wade” 1972 decision.
As “Pro-life” and “Pro-family,” the Republicans I once loved are all talk and no action,
Last December, instead of defunding Planned Parenthood, House Speaker Paul Ryan was more interested in going home for the holidays than doing his government duties.
The Congress has the “Power of the Purse” and Speaker Ryan never wanted to be “House Speaker.”
Rev. Franklin Graham, son of the famous evangelist Billy Graham, left the Republican Party last December. He has since registered as an independent.
He’s been touring our country asking the people to pray for our government leaders.
When voting, let your conscience be your guide.
