Let me say thank you to every reader and advertiser for supporting the Journal Tribune over the years ”“ nearly 130 years as a matter of fact. As you already know, your Monday through Friday newspaper is the Journal Tribune and your Saturday newspaper is known as the Journal Tribune Weekend, which is on sale all weekend long.
Now, this decades-long tradition is about to get better. And it won’t cost you one red cent!
Today, I’m pleased to share some very exciting news with you, our valued readers. Beginning June 16, the Journal Tribune will begin publishing seven days a week with the addition of the Journal Tribune Sunday edition. This brand new, non-paid edition will be delivered free of charge to virtually every household in Biddeford, Saco, and Old Orchard Beach, as well as distribution points in Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Sanford and Scarborough. As we grow, it has become absolutely critical that our advertisers reach every household in our core markets over the weekend, in combination with the weekday exposure that is the hallmark of every local, daily newspaper. In addition, the “good news” that will be part of our new Sunday product is something we know every reader will enjoy ”“ at no additional cost!
Think of it as a Sunday treat ”“ including your guide to the best values available at Hannaford grocery stores, not to mention other shopping values and coupons that will be a part of Journal Tribune Sunday in the weeks ahead.
Our new Sunday content will be laser focused on local news. We have members of our community writing articles, which will complement our editorial staff in providing a very enjoyable Sunday newspaper.
