BIDDEFORD — Thelma R. Hallczuk, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 at South Ridge Living Center, prior to that she was a lifelong area resident of Mountain Road in Biddeford.

She was born in Thornton, New Hampshire on May 21, 1927, a daughter of Frank and Evelyn (Ulhman) Broad.  She was educated in the Thornton, New Hampshire school system.

In November 1946, she married Michael Hallczuk in Biddeford.

Thelma enjoyed spending time with family and traveling to 49 of the 50 states, reading, painting, and ceramics.

Thelma was predeceased by her husband Michael on April 18, 1978 and daughter Sharon Tarbox on April 18, 2016.

Surviving are daughters Margaret Minihan and her husband Joseph of Biddeford, Diane Smith and her husband Peter of Biddeford, Susan Mosher of Wells and Lynn Tillson of Saco; sons Michael Hallczuk and his wife Helene of Las Cruces New Mexico, Frank Hallczuk of Biddeford and Ryan Hallczuk and his wife Rachel of Biddeford; sisters Marolyn Fillion of Thornton New Hampshire and Carolyn Broad of Kennebunk; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Messiah Christian Church 2700 Post Rd, Wells. Burial will be in Mad River Cemetery, Thornton, New Hampshire on Oct. 16, 2018 at noon.
