WEST NEWFIELD — Clayton George Collins died on Jan. 6, 2014.
Clay was born on Sept. 9, 1955 in North Carolina, and his family settled down in South Berwick, where he attended local schools.
He met his wife of 38 years, Diane Willey Collins, and started a family at the age of 20. Clay worked very hard to provide for his family and spent many long hours building the family home in West Newfield.
As the years passed and the grandchildren came along, he enjoyed taking them fishing and doing anything that made them happy. He was known in the community for repairing cars, motorcycles, and most recently, lawn mowers and other small engines.
Clay was preceded in death by: his sister, Nancy Haas; father, George Collins; and mother, Wilma Collins, all of Ohio.
He leaves behind: his wife, Diane; daughters, Catrina St. Ours and her husband Tim and Angela Collins and her significant other John Thomson; four grandchildren, Kayla St. Ours and her fiancé Gary Perkins, Breanna St. Ours, Olivia Thomson-Collins and Justin Thomson-Collins; a great-grandson, Keegan Perkins; and his sister, Mina Feielin, her husband Frank and their daughters Charlena and Melissa, all of Ohio.
He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Private services for the family will be held at a later date.
