BIDDEFORD — Cynthia K. Adams, 60, of Biddeford, died unexpectedly at her home on Jan. 14, 2014.

She was born at Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base in North Carolina on Aug. 26, 1953, the daughter of Norman E. and Patricia A. DeVolder.

She was a graduate of Palm Beach Gardens High School in Florida and went on to earn her paralegal degree in New Hampshire.

Cyndi started her career in real estate and later became the business manager for Allen W. Adams Drafting & Design company in Derry, N.H. Having devoted herself to raising her son Alec, Cyndi returned to work as a paralegal in Maine for many years.

An avid reader and writer, she also found time to enjoy the outdoors and gardening.

Cyndi was preceded in death by: her father, Norman; and her husband, Allen Adams.

She is survived by: her son, Alec Adams and his partner Elise Smorczewski of Portland; mother, Patricia; brother, Gregg and his wife Laura; and several nieces and nephews.
