SACO — Lucille Cyr, 87, of Saco, passed away early Friday morning, on Jan. 17, 2014, at Evergreen Manor in Saco.

She was born in Frenchville on Oct. 19, 1926, a daughter of Anselme and Ida (Boucher) Raymond.

She was educated in Frenchville schools.

Lucille moved with her family to the Saco-Biddeford area in 1950. She was employed by Pepperell Manufacturing in Biddeford for many years. Later, she worked for Saco Defense for 11 years, retiring in 1988.

She enjoyed playing cards, especially with her grandchildren. Lucille had a great love for family and a strong interest in animals.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Adrien J. Cyr Sr. in September 1972.

She was also preceded in death by: three brothers, Roland, Simon and Armand; and two sisters, Gilbert Roy and Muriel Ouellette.

She is survived by: one son, Adrien J. Cyr Jr. and his wife Lucille L. of Arundel; two sisters, Angelique Gregoire of Biddeford and Marie Delekto of Saco; three grandchildren, Cheryl, Greg and Melissa; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St. in Saco.
