BIDDEFORD — Louis D. Marcille, 95, of Biddeford, passed away on Jan. 21, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Louis was born on Nov. 23, 1918 in Lisbon Falls, the son of Louis and Ruth (Durgin) Marcille.
He was educated in Biddeford and graduated from Biddeford High School.
Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country during World War II.
He was a self-employed painter and wallpaper hanger for more than 40 years, retiring in 1984.
Louis was an avid hunter; he loved the outdoors and his flower gardens.
Louis was a Mason and a member of the Masonic Dunlap Lodge No. 47 A.F.M., The Scottish Rite, The Kora Shrine Temple in Lewiston and the York County Shrine Club.
Mr. Marcille was preceded in death by: his loving wife of 67 years, Irma Marcille, who passed on March 3, 2013.
Louis is survived by: his son, David Marcille of St. Cloude, Fla.; three daughters, Cheryl Marcille of Old Orchard Beach, Selina Westbrook of Olla, La. and Colleen Marcille of Biddeford.
He is also survived by: four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
