I am happy to see that Carol Patterson has decided to run for state representative for Saco, House District 15.

Carol has been a lifelong resident of Saco, attending Thornton Academy and then working as a school secretary for many years. Retired now, she has been frustrated with the state of affairs in the Legislature. As a private citizen, mother and grandmother, she knows firsthand the impact that government policies, regulations and taxes have on the working public. I am confident she will bring common sense to the process, looking to lower taxes and help to reform out-of-control state government spending.

It is especially nice to see a new face and personality coming into the process, hopefully to end the revolving door of Democrat politicians who have made a career (and Carol’s opponent, Justin Chenette, who is attempting to make a career) out of government, taxpayer-supported employment. Haven’t we had enough of them, the same people who put us in the situation we were in prior to the election four years ago?

If you want change and economic growth in the State of Maine, then vote for Carol Patterson for House District 15. She has my vote, and those of my family.

Terry von Salza Brown, Saco
