LYMAN — Daniel “Red” Petrin, 48, of Lyman, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014 in Scarborough.
He was born in Lewiston on Jan. 18, 1966, a son of Raymond Sr. and Theresa (Valliere) Petrin.
He graduated from Thornton Academy, Class of 1985.
Earlier, Red was employed by Bob’s Exxon for many years. Later, he worked for Pratt & Whitney for 25 years.
He enjoyed racing at Beechridge Motor Speedway, especially watching his sons race. Most of all, he loved his family, his dog “Bear,” and the 27 loving years he spent with his wife, Jane.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; and one brother, Raymond Jr.
He is survived by: his wife, Jane (Wormwood) Petrin; two sons, Timothy A. Petrin and his girlfriend Amanda and Keith D. Petrin and his girlfriend Lauren; two brothers, Norman Petrin and his wife Deborah and Guy Petrin and his wife Caroline; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2014 at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 at Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
