LEBANON — Federal and state authorities are on the lookout for two Massachusetts men wanted in connection with the theft of six firearms taken in a burglary in Lebanon earlier this month.
A woman, Isabella Lupis, 21, of Salem, Massachusetts, was taken into custody in her home state March 19 on a fugitive from justice charge and will be extradited back to Maine, said Maine Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland.
Lt. Paul Ryan of Massachusetts State Police said Lupis was arrested at the Revere, Massachusetts, state police barracks.
Police are on the lookout for Gabriel Calderon, 29, and Paul Votano, 35, both of Lynn, Massachusetts.
McCausland said there is also the possibility of additional individuals being charged as the investigation continues.
On March 13, Maine State Police Trooper Travis Doughty investigated a burglary at a home in Lebanon, where six firearms, knives, jewelry, electronics and numerous other items were taken.
A day later, Massachusetts State Police had contact with a vehicle in Revere, in which one of the stolen guns from Lebanon was recovered.
The Massachusetts State Police Special Tactical Operations Team then searched several homes in greater Boston, resulting in the recovery of two more of the stolen firearms from Lebanon, McCausland said.
Coordinating with Maine State Police, the Massachusetts State Police and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives issued arrest warrants for the trio.
