GORHAM — Melinda D. Simard, 49 of Gorham, died unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 5 in Biddeford.

She was born June 4, 1965 in Biddeford, a daughter of Robert C. and Sydna D. (Tripp) Simard.

She attended Saco schools and was a graduate of Thornton Academy in the Class of 1984.

Melinda had worked in health care for most of her life; recently, her proudest achievement was making Center Manager at Lincare in Biddeford.

Melinda loved spending time on Loud’s Island along the Mid Coast with her partner, Jonathan Gray.

She was pre-deceased by: her father, Robert C. Simard on Feb. 1, 2012.

Melinda is survived by: her partner, Jonathan Gray of Gorham; two sons, Zackery Nolette and his girlfriend Allison Clark of Biddeford, and Brady Nolette of Mooresville, North Carolina; her mother, Sydna Simard of Mooresville, North Carolina; her sister, Kristin Bowser and her husband Jeremy, their daughter Kendall Bowser, their son Seth Rondeau and his fiancée Angelika Lowman of Sherrill’s Ford, North Carolina; her brother, Curtis Simard and his wife Laurel, and their daughters Alexis and Emma of Mt. Desert.

Visiting hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
