Yesterday I was driving to town and passed by the West Brook Ice Skating Rink. It was glistening and inviting, and it dawned on me that I wondered if the public was aware of what was going on behind the scenes and knew of the tremendous amount of hours planning and unselfish dedication that make this happen.
We are very fortunate to have two great fraternal organizations, The Free Masons and the Knights of Columbus, working in unison to make this happen. You just cannot think this just happens, there are a lot of long hours of planning and working long before the ice is frozen over. I’m pretty sure that the city has the only outdoor ice skating rink in York County.
Both the Masons and the Knights have to be complimented on undertaking such a tedious project that is such an asset to the community. My hat is off to both these organizations.
