BIDDEFORD — Thaxter Louise (Nemet) (Lagueux) Corriveau, 77, went home to be with her beloved Lord and Savior on Feb. 20, 2015, surrounded by loving family.
Formerly of Biddeford and Laconia, New Hampshire, she had recently been living in Waterboro with her daughter, Kathy White and family.
She was born in Biddeford to George and Marion Nemet and attended schools in Dayton and Biddeford.
For more than 35 years, she opened her home in Laconia, New Hampshire to care for the elderly and those with special needs.
Thaxter was preceded in death by: her first husband, Roland Lagueux; and her second husband, John Corriveau.
She is survived by: her sons, Donald Lagueux, Roland Lagueux Jr., Michael Lagueux, Richard Lagueux, David Lagueux; and daughters, Deborah and husband Gerald Taylor, Sharon and husband Will Woodson, Diane and husband Jay Bell, Kathy and husband Walter White, Marlene Sargent, Lisa Lagueux, Penny Desaalines, and Elizabeth and husband Matthew Gullage; 42 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marlene McPherson and Nancy Bourque.
A “Celebration of Life” will be held on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m. at the Wormwood Center, 15 Oak Hill Road, Sanford.
