BIDDEFORD — Jean Marie Guay, 54, of Biddeford, died Sunday April 19, 2015 at Maine Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born July 8, 1960 in Portland, a daughter of Joseph and Jacqueline (Dyer) Sylvestre and was educated there. Jean was a 1978 graduate of Portland High School.
She had been employed at St. Andre’s Health Care Facility and currently at Seal Rock Health Care, where she was business office manager, leaving work in March due to illness.
On June 16, 1989, she married Donald J. Guay in Dayton.
Jean enjoyed caring for and giving to her friends and family. She also showed great love and affection for her animals. She had been a participant of several bowling leagues in the past.
She is preceded in death by: a daughter, Jennifer Givens in 2014.
She is survived by: her husband, Donald Guay of Biddeford; two sons, Chad Christopher Guay of Old Orchard Beach, and Joseph Donald Tilton of Biddeford; and four grandchildren, Gadge Tilton, Daryn Langlois, Brady Tilton, and Jonathyn Tilton.
Visiting hours will be from 2-3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 24 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. A funeral service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
