
He was born Nov. 24, 1950 in Biddeford a son of Roland and Lucy (Chadbourne) Marcotte and was educated locally.
On Oct. 1, 1971 he married Jean Adjutant at St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford.
He had been a self-employed painter for most of his working life.
David enjoyed hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. Antiquing with his grandson was a favorite pastime.
He was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters.
David is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jean Marcotte of Biddeford; two daughters, Dy-Ann Eon and her husband Gary of Biddeford and Heather Marcotte and her fiancé Michael Soucy of Saco; two grandchildren, Ryan David Eon and Brielle Ione Eon; a sister, Shirley Stewart of Lyman; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visiting hours. Graveside service and burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7 in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
