
She was born in Brownfield, Maine on Aug. 26, 1931 a daughter of the late Charles and Ella (Moses) Foster. On Aug. 6, 1949 she married Abel Violette Sr., in Waterboro. She was raised and grew up on Federal Street in Waterboro along with her nine siblings. Later along with her husband Abel they built their family home on the same road.
For many years she was employed at Sprague Electric. She enjoyed riding snowmobiles, motorcycles and going camping with her husband Abel. She loved to knit and all of her grandchildren had many beautiful sweaters made by her. She was always available to watch her grandchildren and play with them. She looked forward to going to the Boston Flower Show for many years.
She is predeceased by her husband, Abel who passed in 2014, siblings, Roland Foster, Raymond Foster and Jeannette Savoie.
She is survived by two sons, Abel Violette “Joe” Jr., and his wife, Paula of Waterboro, Philip Violette and his wife, Joyce of Shapleigh; grandchildren, Steve Violette and his wife, Shannon, Wendy Violette Glaude and her husband Jason, Stacey Violette Moulton and her husband Ken, and Sabrina Violette Mains and her husband Glen; great-grandchildren, Makayla Moulton, Kelsie Moulton, Keegan Glaude, Jayden Glaude, and Caleb Gurskis; siblings, Helen Seagal, June Hersom, Loretta Lemay, Elaine Roussin, Brenda Bacon, and Marjorie Deschaines.
She will be missed by so many who loved her.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, Nov. 6 at 11 a.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterboro.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale.
