Editor,
I have a lot to be thankful for this past Thanksgiving. I attended the Knights of Columbus Community Meal at the Most Holy Trinity Parish Hall.
I have weak legs and I need a cane to support myself. Knowing I would have to stand in line with my plate, I decided to leave my cane in the car.
GOing up the parish hall steps, I had only two more to go when my legs froze. I couldn’t move. A man opening the door grabbed my hand and helped me go up the steps.
A volunteer woman seeing me came to my assistance. When the servers gave me all my Thanksgiving food, the same woman grabbed my food plate and my arm and led me to my table to enjoy my food.
I would like to thank that man and woman for their assistance. Don’t believe everything you see on television or hear on the radio. There are still loving caring people in this world.
I would like to thank the Knights of Columbus and the helpers for a wondeful “Thanksgiving” meal.
