Gorham’s Anna Slager won the Class A crown at Twin Brook in Cumberland on Saturday, Oct. 31, breaking the proverbial tape almost 10 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Katherine Leckbee of Mt. Ararat. Slager completed her 5K run in 19:42.90.

The Lady Rams didn’t qualify as a team for this year’s States; Slager’s first place finish at Oct. 24th’s Regionals earned her an individual spot. Look for more photos and further coverage – including an interview with Slager – in next week’s American Journal.
