A shredding event will take place Saturday, April 16, from 9 a.m.-noon at the Saco Biddeford Savings Bank, corner Gorham Road and Hannaford Drive in Scarborough.

The event is sponsored by the Scarborough Lions Club and Saco Biddeford Saving and proceeds will benefit Scarborough Food Pantry.

There is a three-box limit for shredding. Donations of food and cash or checks will be accepted.
