The Coastal Soccer Club’s U-17 girl’s premier soccer team captured the Maine state championship last weekend with a hard fought win over the Odyssey Sport 97 team. Three goals by Alexandra Laniewski (Scarborough) helped Coastal to the 3-2 victory. They now advance to the U.S. Youth Soccer Region 1 National Championship tournament featuring teams from 15 other state associations. The regional championships will be held in Portland from June 28 through July 3.
