Straw family reunites in Buxton?Robert Shepard of Long Plains Road in Buxton hosted the Straw family reunion in July with guests reported coming from near and far and contributed to the wonderful potluck dinner. ?Those attending were Dwight and Gail Shepard of Anson; Mary Elwell of Bar Mills; Tina, Cheyenne and Alanah Rae, Jessica Rowe, Rusty Rowe, April Shepard, Jason Rowe, Robert Shepard of Buxton; Clinton King of Berlin, NH; Todd Etigman of Cape Elizabeth; Holly Rowe of Casco; Tamarra and Haydn Towle, East Waterboro; Peter Shepard and Janice Howard of Etna; Patricia and Robert Gallagher of Fryburg; Kevin and Linda Straw, Bea Straw, Cheryl and Gary Walls, Keith and Wendy Stigman, Kenneth Temm, Joan and John Wadas of Gorham; Amanda and Norman McConihe, Erin, James, Colton and Cassidy of Hollis; Lois and Edward King of Jay; Kara Marston of Lewiston; Mark and Jean Butler; Shawn, LeeAnn and Caitlin Butler of New Glouceter; Dennis and Marie Temm of Raymond; Amanda and Shylo Rowe of Saco; Linda Dahms, Susan Clark of Shapligh; Lucinda Bragg of Shelburne, NH; John, Sherri and Alex Brooks, Matthew Stearns, Justine of South Portland; Elaine Brown of Standish; Doloris Miner of West Buxton. ?Bouquets of flowers were given to the two oldest members, Bea Straw and Mary Elwell. ?The highlight of the day was a ride on the hay wagon pulled by Bobby Shepard’s antique Oliver tractor. He took guests through fields where they saw a herd of deer in one and a flock of turkeys in another. ?The next reunion at Kineowatha Park in Wilton on Aug. 24, 2014. The planning committee is Dwight Shepard, Holly Rowe, Lois King and Lucinda Bragg.?
