The Chewonki Foundation will visit the Naples Public Library on Wednesday, July 6 at 7 p.m. to present “Birds of Prey: Comparing New England’s Raptors.”

Bring the entire family for an exciting evening learning about nocturnal and diurnal raptors. Live, non-releasable birds will be used to compare and contrast the special hunting adaptations of these amazing animals.

The Chewonki Foundation is a non-profit educational institution organized in 1962 and based in Wiscasset. One of the Chewonki Foundation’s goals is to foster an appreciation for the natural world through educational programs, wilderness excursions and summer camps.

This program is made possible at the Naples Public Library in part through a generous donation by the Loon Echo Land Trust Environmental Fund in memory of Helen Allen of Casco.

The program is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact the Naples Public Library at 693-6841 or visit www.naples.lib.me.us on the web.
