Left to right, Albert Caron spent 18 months as a Japanese prisoner of war in the Pacific before escaping capture and fighting with the Philippine guerrillas. His son, David Caron, was an Army foot soldier in Vietnam from August 1967 to August 1968. David Caron’s son, Army Reserve Captain Darrell Caron, is currently serving in Iraq as a counselor for other American soldier stationed there.
