FREEPORT – Freeport police conducted a canine track related to the reported burglary in the Spare Cove-Arnold Road area yesterday. It was concluded that the suspects left in a vehicle waiting for them on Arnold Road.

Police said a person out walking a dog did see a black SUV leaving Arnold Road at a high rate of speed at around the time the victim called 911. Police ask anyone who remembers seeing a black SUV in that area to call the station with the details.

Police sent out an alert yesterday saying they were looking for someone in the area.

“Suspects may be on foot and are described as two males one with facial hair, wearing dark hooded sweatshirts carrying a tan backpack,” police said in the alert. “If you should see someone matching this description please call 911 immediately.”
