Marriage ( PHOTO )

William Robert Tom and Jennifer Marie Morrell were married June 19 at Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth with Pastor Darren Bonneville officiating at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Karen Shepard of Otisfield, Maine and John Morrell of Windham, Maine. Parents of the groom are Barbara and Mainard Tom of Sunnyvale, California. A reception followed at Fort Williams.

Sylvia Wallingford provided classical violin music for the ceremony. Martha Poland designed the flowers for the wedding and reception and also helped to coordinate with Josie Morrell the reception along with family and friends. Kristen Kellner created and designed the cake. Richard Shepard was the wedding photographer and Edward Anaka was the videographer.

The groom was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts and grew up in California with his younger brother, David, and his parents. He attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago where he received his bachelor’s degree. He is currently a buyer and purchasing agent for a company in Denver, Colorado.

The bride was born in Portland and grew up in Windham with her older sister, Kimberly, and her family. She attended Simmons College in Boston where she received her bachelors degree. Jennifer is a medical researcher at National Jewish and works part-time as a nanny in Denver. At the end of the year Jennifer and William will move to Orlando, Florida where William will be an associate pastor for young adults at Church of The Well. Jennifer will be part of the women’s ministry staff. Following the wedding a trip through the coast of Maine, Mr. and Mrs. Tom will reside in Denver, Colorado.

Anniversary

Stan and Jane Sampson celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary July 13. They enjoyed a very nice dinner at Charlie Beiggs restaurant.

Family Gathering

Lew and Joanne Weatherby joined other family members and friends for a cook-out July 3 at the cottage of her parents, Paul and Betty Estes. The grills were manned by Stephen Estes and Billy Jackson. Everyone enjoyed water skiing, boating, tubing and jet skiing.

Home

Mary Bouchard has returned home after spending a few days in Connecticut. She went with her sister, Sheila Cunningham and Dicke Rolfe. He had surgery and it was very successful.

Yard Sale

The Red Men will hold a yard sale July 15-17 at the Lodge Hall in Sebago. The hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lunch can also be purchased there. This will be held during Sebago Days.

Birthday

Ed Varney celebrated his birthday July 12th. He enjoyed going out to dinner with family members.

Birthday

Longtime Windham resident, John Rogers, celebrated his 80th birthday July 1. There was a cook-out held on the 2nd at his daughters, Linda Baker, in Casco. Those attending were: son-in-law John Baker; daughter Ellen Jackson and husband Jack and daughter Alexandra and Barbara Jackson, who is 91, and Ellen’s mother-in-law. They all had a great day.

On July 4, there was a barbecue at Josie Morrell’s. Attending were: her sister, Nathalie Lombard of Springbrook; Jean McKay of Brook Hollow in Naples; John and Martha Poland and Jamie Parker of Casco; Kimberly Morrell of Portland and Peter Morrell, Dana Morrell and son Evan, Kathy Gilman and daughter Brittany all of Windham. The chef was John Morrell.

Meeting

The Lake Pine Association will hold a bussiness meeting at the Odd Fellows Hall July 17 at 1 p.m.
