Owen Sinclair, 16, of Windham, is one of seven finalists chosen to compete in the 2006 Saco River Music Festival, Youth Music Award Competition.

The award has a cash prize of $500 and the winner will perform at one of the Saco Music Festival Concerts this summer. Sinclair will be competing on piano and performing Concerto in E flat, first movement by Franz Liszt and Prelude in D Minor from “The Well-Tempered Clavier” by J. S. Bach.

The competition will take place on June 10 at USM’s Corthell Hall in Gorham. The competition is open to the public and begins at 12:30 p.m. Sinclair is a junior at Windham High School and is the accompanist for the Windham Chamber Singers. He is a student of Richard Roberts, Portland.
