Last week, the Portland Water District was honored with the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies’ Platinum Award for Sustained Competitiveness Achievement.
In 2005 only 14 public water systems across the nation were recognized for their long-term excellence in utility management with the Platinum Award.
“I was pleased to accept this award on behalf of the Portland Water District. The Board of Trustees has made efficiency a top priority and through innovation and creativity, employees have delivered without compromising service and quality,” said General Manager Ron Miller.
