This year’s Kittery Trading Post “Ice Fisherman of the Year” contest will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Raymond Beach Festival area.
Contestants will showcase their ice-fishing skills and their athleticism by hand-drilling holes and setting traps, combined with two 100-yard sprints. Whoever finishes first will not only win the title and bragging rights, but also a generous gift from the Kittery Trading Post.
Entry is open to anyone. Visit the Derby Fest Web site for entry details and/or be at Raymond Beach at 4:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
