An engineering consulting firm that has grown out of its space in the Dana Warp Mill is making a new home for itself by constructing a three-story office building on Main Street.
Strategic Maintenance Solutions Inc. opened eight years ago in the Dana Warp Mill and has been expanding ever since. Now, the company’s president, Jason Oney, said concerns about space and parking are directing the company out of the mill.
The 9,000-square-foot office building will go to the Planning Board on March 3 for a site plan review. It would be located behind 795 Main St., with its address on Ash Street.
“We’re excited to be able to stay in Westbrook and stay downtown,” Oney said Wednesday.
The company is planning on occupying the third floor of the building and leasing the other floors. Oney said he’s already talked to a few businesses that are interested in moving in.
The meeting on March 3 will be held at 7 p.m. in Room 114 at Westbrook High School.
