Share Facebook Reddit Linkedin Email Copy Link Print Last weekend, the North Windham Union Church celebrated the 20th anniversary of the construction of a new church. The new church replaced the one shown in this grainy old photo. The photo was taken long ago by someone standing in the North Windham Cemetery (now known as Arlington). The gravestones clearly show the location. We see on the left, the original church, built in the late 1800s alongside the schoolhouse, after it was moved from its original location, alongside the cemetery. This little church was moved aside to make room for the new church and is now called The Little Meeting House. The schoolhouse shown here was discontinued when Arlington school was built, used as a blacksmith shop for a while and then demolished. To see other old photos of Windham, visit the Windham Historical Society, open to the public on Thursday mornings and by appointment. Copy the Story Link Send questions/comments to the editors.
