The Cape Elizabeth boys nordic ski team won the Western Maine Conference championship last week with their one-two punch of Graham Egan and Stanis Moody-Roberts. Cape scored 23 points to distance themselves from Yarmouth (39), Waynflete (48), and Greely (48) in the 10-team event.
Egan won the race in 12:40 and Moody-Roberts was close behind in second at 13:07. Cape also had a strong effort from Bobby Yokabaskas (eighth place) and Tike Maccoll (12th place).
The Cape girls nordic ski team finished fourth with 56 points. Greely won the girls side of the competition with 43 points followed by Waynflete (51), Yarmouth (54) and Cape.
Cape Elizabeth’s top finishers were Emily Attwood (fifth), Erin Hatton (12th), Kristin Kerney (18th), Melissa Slack (21st), and McKayla Dunfey (23rd).
