FREEPORT – The power is slowly but surely coming on as Central Maine Power continues its cleanup from Hurricane Sandy earlier this week.

As of 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, CMP was reporting that the only remaining outages in Freeport were on Spar Cove Road. Outages in Pownal were limited to Dyer and Woodlands roads. There were no reported outages in Durham. CMP said it expected to have all power restored by late on Oct. 31.

As of noon on Oct. 31, CMP crews have restored power to almost 155,000 customers and added that 4,163 customers are still without power in all of Cumberland County.
