The Gray-New Gloucester Patriots had a strong showing at the Class B track championships at Morse High School on Saturday, finishing 10th overall with 27 points.
The top scorer for the Patriots was senior Kendhall Davis, who brought home eight points with his second place finish in the pole vault. Davis also scored two points for Gray-New Gloucester with his sixth-place finish in the 110 hurdles.
Along with his individual performances, Davis was a member of the 4×100 relay team along with senior Zach Field, freshman Will Danieli and junior Ben Miklovich, which finished third overall, accounting for another six points.
Miklovich also finished second overall in the 100-meter dash, scoring another eight points.
In addition, the Patriots got two points from the 4×800 relay team of senior Liam Kalloch, senior Sam Kiyanitsa, sophomore Ethan Ray and senior Cameron Betts, which finished sixth overall.
Betts also scored another point for the Patriots with his seventh place finish in the 800-meter run.
The Lake Region Lakers also ran at the meet, getting their lone four points from senior Jake Moore, who finished fourth overall in the 300 hurdles.
On the girls side, the only local athlete to score at the meet was Lake Region junior Kari Cowperthwaite, who finished seventh in the 100 hurdles.
