Forum Nov. 1 on charter changes

Residents who served on the Westbrook Charter Commission will host a community forum at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, at the Westbrook Middle School. Those who attend can ask questions and learn about the proposed charter revisions that will be on the Nov. 6 ballot.

Labbe to perform ?for seniors

Magician Dennis Labbe will entertain Westbrook Seniors Citizens when it meets at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, in the Westbrook Community Center, 426 Bridge St.

The seniors will travel to Indian Head in Lincoln, N.H., on Sunday, Dec. 9.

The group also is planning to attend a play in Biddeford in February and a trip in March to Massachusetts to see the Women of Ireland.

Woman’s club ?to meet

Westbrook Woman’s Club will meet at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, in Westbrook-Warren Church, 810 Main St.

A workday will be held to make boxes for the lobster roll lunches. Members are reminded to take their homemade cookies. Light refreshments will be served.

Post 62 to meet

The Stephen W. Manchester Post 62 of the American Legion will meet for a meal at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at its headquarters at 17 Dunn St.

Post members will gather to talk with veterans at Gorham House in Gorham at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 5.

Historical society reminder

Gorham historian Penny Loura will speak about the Civil War medicine when Westbrook Historical Society meets at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, in the Westbrook Community Center, 426 Bridge St.
