Jason Bartlett continued to set the sizzling pace at Scarborough Downs on Monday as the torrid teamster recorded six driving victories on the afternoon card.

Bartlett began his breakaway day by winning back-to-back non-betting events carded for two-year-old Maine-breds. The victorious freshman fillies – Know Passion and Yegua – are both owned by Arlene Shaw and Alice Bonenfant and are conditioned in Bartlett’s own barn.

Heading directly onto the wagering program, Bartlett wasted little time in continuing his winning strategy. He delighted the wagering public with three popular pari-mutuel scores in a row, steering Herzon ($2.60), Joe Rustler ($6.20) and Fisher King ($2.20) into the Scarborough Downs winner’s circle.

Bartlett closed out his magical Monday by coaxing a seasonal best 1:58 and 4/5th performance from Scott Dillon’s RB Abbie’s Tom Boy ($4.40) in the sixth.

Monday’s six-bagger – preceded by a five-win effort on Sunday – has cemented Bartlett’s stature atop the Scarborough Downs leader board. His 68 seasonal victories now trumps his closest rival, Drew Campbell, by eight wins.
