Gorham Middle School Principal Dennis Duquette updated the Gorham School Committee last week on the eighth grade plans to visit Washington D.C. in May.

Duquette said 131 students had signed up for the three-day trip. The round-trip airfare is $699 per student. Last year, 180 students went to Washington D.C. on the bus.

Parents voted to fly this year. A bus trip would have cost $549.
