The Gray-New Gloucester and the Lake Region High track teams took part in a meet with Traip Academy, Seacoast Christian Academy and Falmouth on May 1.
The Patriots came in second overall in both the boys and girls meets and the Laker girls finished third, while the boys were fifth overall.
Individually, Gray-New Gloucester’s Amanda Peterson won the 100-meter dash in 12.9 seconds. Peterson also won the 200-meter dash in 28 seconds flat with teammate Jasmine Turner close behind in 28.3 seconds.
Turner won the girls high jump, with teammate Micheala Sangillo coming in third.
On the boys side, the Patriots’ Ben Miklovich won the 100-meter dash in 10.8 seconds and teammate Cody Chase finished second in 11.8 seconds. Miklovich also took the 200-meter dash in 22.9 seconds. Ethan Ray won the 400-meter dash in 52.1 seconds.
For the Lakers, Tristan Lacey won the boys triple jump, with a provisional state meet qualifying distance and personal best of 37-9. Matt Van Vliet came in second in the triple jump, qualifying for the state championships with a personal best distance of 5-10.
On the girls side, Kari Cowperthwaite won the 100-meter hurdles for the Laker girls in 17 seconds flat. She also took the 300 hurdles in 55.2 seconds. Lake Region’s Shelly Burgess had a personal best in the discus, finishing second with a throw of 101-6.
